Ellie was born at 1:30 am June 14, 2006. It took her a while to master those long legs and big body (born at 215 pounds!), but soon she was getting around well - cantering circles around her mom.
El is by Leapley Deighton Cardinal, one of the (if not THE) winningest stallions in the US. Cardinal stood Grand Champion at Peterborough and is the only Shire stallion in the US to have won the King George Cup. Cardinal and his progeny have built a successful showing in the United States also.
We will be retaining Ellie as a future broodmare. Along with showing El in-hand, Nan will train and show her in dressage.
Nan started riding Ellie in March and are taking regular lessons with Jennifer Collman.
